Reflection [Fencing]

I was having fun that day, like really fun! I learnt so much from it. I had fun with my classmates, it brings us together more closely than before. It was my first time holding the equipment and play fencing. I did not know that , fencing, could be real challenging. It takes a lot of perseverance to attack the opponent, not knowingly what the opponent will do. I really enjoyed myself there and I hoped there would be more of such activities again.

Dear  Mr Singh,
Suggestions on how to reduce rape cases in India

I am displeased in how the India Police Force dealt rape cases that occurred recently. The worldwide sensation rape in India has become a national debate and people felt indignant because the rapists are not severely charged or dealt with. I felt that the government should enforce more strictly on the law and the rape cases in India have to be put to a stop.
I would like to suggest that the law on rapists should be a death sentence. This would not only raise the awareness of the people in India, but also people who are trying to rape think twice about it before doing the action taken. By implementing laws that requires their life taken, people would not dare to do crime things more often and not regard it as a joke. Police force may also undergo trainings where they would gain more knowledge and would be more skilled to do certain things more professionally.
Women in India should also have equal treatment as men. Women would be able to gain respect and also a sense of freedom for them. As rape cases are often reported, women should have the rights to have their phones beside them all the time to call for help when in need. Enforcing stricter laws in India may also let the country have a crime free place to live in.
To prevent more cases of rape from happening, women must go in groups and often avoid uncrowded places as this would ensure their safety. The police may also need to keep a lookout for suspicious looking people. By having a tight security around the vicinity, less rape cases would also be happening. Police patrolling the area every hour may ensure tight security too.
As generations passed by, the people in India should more or less know about the change of the laws implemented and charges faced if they commit such crimes again. Lastly, I hope you would take things into considerations and would like to thank you for spending time reading my letter.

Yours sincerely,
Catherine

‘Bitterness first sweetness last’, this may look like an easy job but the process to sweetness is tough. For example the challenges faced by parents these days are not easy. They need to work, cook, and earn money to provide for their children. They also need to face the economic crisis, children’s performances in school and their work. They faced so many challenges, everyday but yet they dare not show it on their faces in front of their children. I feel that their job as a parent is not as easy as it looks.
Especially for parents, their work is most important. It helps them to earn money to provide for their family and they even work overtime to get a larger salary to give their children better living conditions. Children, like teenagers, do not even appreciate what they did for them. They even complain about not giving them enough pocket money. All they do is work, work, and work, even when they have a bit of a free time also unable to spare for them.
Parents not only they have to work, they also need to pacify their children. Their children made it so contradicting that even they do not know what their children want.  For example when parents are busy with their work, their children complain. Similarly, when parents got their day off, their children also complain that their parents keep bothering them like a bee attracted to a flower.
All parents wishes that after their work was to go back home, take a relaxing shower, meals being prepared by us, everything in the house is neat and most importantly, a word of ‘Thank You’ from their beloved children. That is all they can ever ask for, yet this is rarely seen in the century. Parent’s love for their children is greater than any other love. It is just so strong that parents themselves are unable to show it to their children that they love them.
To me, I feel that children like us are not grateful towards what our parents have done for us. Doing odd jobs, provide us with education, make sure that we do not go hungry, just everything that they do, we as children are indebted to them. They took care of us when we are young, so when they are old, we will take care of them and repay their love to us back; our parents are like our hero and heroine in our lives. If I got the chance, I would like to tell them that I love them as much as they do.

But children, like teenagers, don't appreciate it. They complain about not giving them enough pocket money, all they do is work, work, work. Never spare a thought for them.
When their children are complaining, deep down inside, all they actually wanted was their parents to show their love for them. Their children complain but the parent didn't blame them because they actually know the consequences for working long hours. Similarly, when parents got their day off, their children also complain that their parents keep bothering them like a bee attracted to a flower. This made their parents so confused, that even themselves do not know what is good or bad for their children, because all parents wishes was to provide even better things for their children. All they need was a support was us, their children.
All they need after their work was to go back home, take a relaxing shower, meals being prepared by us, everything in the house is neat and most importantly, a word of ‘Thank You’ from their beloved children.
